The Espiritu line by Trinidad marks their entry into the world of Nicaraguan cigars. The No. 3, in particular, pushes the boundaries toward a fuller flavor profile. This Trinidad boasts an oily San Andres Habano wrapper enveloping a Nicaraguan binder and fillers. During the cold draw, you’ll encounter subtle spice and earthy tones, with a smooth and effortless draw from the soft box-pressed shape. As you light the cigar, the spice lingers on the back of your palate, accompanied by a gentle cocoa note during the retrohale. Progressing into the first third, the spice becomes more pronounced, while earthy flavors continue to linger. Transitioning to the second third, the cigar introduces sweet spices, while the pepper retreats to the background. The most interesting development occurs as coffee notes gradually emerge, building up toward the final third. In this last segment, coffee and earth take center stage, with a subtle touch of white pepper on the retrohale. The Espiritu No. 3 concludes with a smooth earthiness and just a hint of spice, culminating in a full-bodied smoking experience during the last few puffs.
